Axe Shampoo

Now, Axe Shampoo is used by many people, but has anyone really thought about the ingredients that make this shampoo? Yes? Good for you over-achiever, now get out of here. No? Well, lucky for you, I am here to hopefully educate you on three ingredients that are needed to make this product *insert winky face here*

The beloved shampoo that people seem to adore so much, behold...Axe Shampoo.

The reason why I chose this product was really because I didn't know what else to do it on. Trust me, I'm not really a fan of these brands, but it seemed interesting at the time, so there you have it.

Here are three ingredients to give you readers a little insight on what makes this shampoo. This is when we get into the exciting part.

The first ingredient that I am going to name is sodium laureth sulfate. The chemical name for it is sodium laurel sulfate and the chemical formula for this ingredient is NaC12H25SO4. It's a white powder with a melting point of 204-207 C. Its pH level is 9-10. Now, not many people know this but sodium laureth sulfate is a pretty risky ingredient to use when you look at the facts. Its a skin irritant and it pollutes our groundwater. I mean, the only reason people put it in shampoo is because its foamy and cheap. These ingredients aren't looking too good for you so far, Axe Users. Yikes.

The next ingredient I will include is carbomer. The chemical name for this is polyacrylic acid and the chemical formula is (C3H4O2)n. It's basically his fluffy,white, moldy acidic polymer. Sounds a bit like the first ingredient huh? Well get a load of this. This ingredient is also irritating to the skin eyes and may cause permanent damage to the skin. This ingredient basically helps insoluble solids into a liquid.

The last ingredient I will be mentioning is citric acid. The chemical name for citric acid is popanetricarboxylic acid and the chemical formula is C6H8O7. It's a white crystalline powder that has a melting point of 100 C and a pH of 2.2. The health risks aren't too bad. Its just cramps, weight gain, weakness, mood changes, rapid and shallow breathing, fast heart rate black or bloody stools, severe diarrhea, or seizures. Like I said, it's nothing to worry about. Sarcasm, by the way. This ingredient adjusts the pH levels so that it could be an excellent cleaning experience. "Never mind the severe diarrhea and seizures, at least I'm clean!" Pretty messed up if you ask me.
